Reproductions
After painting various subject matters for many years, June discovered that she was especially drawn to transforming stories of her Acadian heritage onto canvas, many of which are now available as digital reproductions.
All digital reproductions are created as high-resolution scans using pigment ink on matte paper and acid-free mats for long-term archival.

The gallery is open from May to October by chance or by appointment. Come visit the gallery and studio. You will discover an artist at work and you will see a good selection of his paintings and reproductions. June is always happy to greet and chat with visitors.

Artist’s Statement
“After painting various subject matters for many years, I soon discovered that I was especially drawn to transforming stories of my Acadian heritage onto canvas. Realizing that my textured impressionistic brushstrokes would not go away, I accepted the fact that my style of painting would not describe every detail but rather attempt to evoke emotions using light, form, color and movement. This allows the viewer to make the image their own, which I think is the ultimate compliment”.
“J’explore les couleurs, les formes, les textures, des sujets, la composition et des médiums variés pour partager avec ceux qui regardent mon travail mes impressions personnellles. J’ai finalement réalisé que mes coups de pinceau n’allaient pas disparaître. J’ai donc embrassé mon style de peinture en sachant que l’œuvre évoquerait une gamme d’émotions plus que les détails par la lumière, la forme, la couleur et le mouvement. Ainsi celui ou celle qui regarde une de mes toiles peut s’approprier l’image, la scène et l’émotion.“
